The ballet Class Concert was first choreographed by Asaf Messerer to music by Glazunov, Liapunov, Liadov and Shostakovich arranged by A. Zseitlin.  It premiered in May 6,1961 under the name “Ballet School” on the Bolshoi ballet tour to the USA. The ballet Class Concert presented by the Bolshoi theatre is choreographed by Asaf Messerer and restaged by Mikhail Messerer. Music is composed by Alexander Glazunov, Anatoly Lyadov, Anton Rubinstein and Dmitry Shostakovich Designer for this production is Igor Chapurin. The current version of the ballet Class Concert premiered at the Bolshoi Theatre on July 14, 2007.
