Katerina Shalkina (also written Kateryna Shalkina) is leading soloist with Béjart Ballet Lausanne. She was born in 1984 in Kiev, Ukraine, Kateryna Shalkina begins studying dance at the age of ten at the State Ballet School till she joins the Kiev Ballet in 2000 where she dances as a soloist roles. Following two years at the Ecole-Atelier Rudra Béjart Lausanne, she joins the Béjart Ballet Company Lausanne in 2003.
Julien Favreau is leading soloist with Béjart Ballet Lausanne. He was born in La Rochelle, Julien Favreau studies classical and contemporary dance at the Ecole Nationale de Danse in La Rochelle under the direction of Colette Milner before entering the Ecole-Atelier Rudra Béjart, Lausanne, in 1994. Noticed very early by Maurice Béjart, he joins the Béjart Ballet Lausanne in August 1995.

For twenty-five years, the Béjart Ballet Lausanne diffuses Maurice Béjart’s choreography worldwide. Thirty-nine dancers from 15 countries, strongly dedicated to the Maestro’s style, and who, due to hundreds of performances, are experiencing the appreciation from an ever changing audience, receiving applause each year, from country to country, from one theatre to another.
