Michael Gross is a member with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago since 2014, hometown Poughquag, New York. Michael earned a BFA in Dance from the University of Arizona and received much of his early training from Colorado Jazz Dance Company in Colorado Springs, followed by further studies at the American Academy of Ballet and Springboard Danse Montréal. Formerly a member of River North Dance Chicago and Visceral Dance Chicago, Gross has also performed with Elements Contemporary Ballet.
Andrew Murdock is a member of Hubbard Street Dance since 2013. Hos hometown is St. Albert, Alberta. Andrew is a graduate of the Juilliard School, from which he received a BFA in Dance under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes. Prior to being a regular collaborator with Aszure Barton & Artists, Murdock performed with Gallim Dance and BJM Danse, formerly Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal. He has worked with American Ballet Theatre, Canada’s National Ballet School and Ballet BC, New York University, the Steps Ensemble, Arts Umbrella, and Springboard Danse Montréal.
Crystal Pite (born 1970) is a Canadian choreographer and dancer. She began her dance career at Ballet British Columbia and in 1996 she joined Ballett Frankfurt under the tutelage of William Forsythe. Upon returning to Vancouver she focused on choreographing while continuing to dance in her own pieces. In 2002 she created Kidd Pivot which produced her original work Double Story (2002) and Dark Matters (2009). She was also commissioned by various dance companies to create new dances, including The Second Person (2007) for the Netherlands Dans Theater and Emergence (2009) for the National Ballet of Canada, the latter of which was awarded four Dora Mavor Moore Awards. She resides in Vancouver with her partner Jay Gower Taylor and son Niko.
