Elvira Tarasova is coach and repetiteur with Mariinsky Theatre. She was born in Leningrad (St. Petersburg). Having graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in 1987 (class of Inna Zubkovskaya) she joined the Kirov Theatre of Opera and Ballet (renamed the Mariinsky Theatre in 1992); soloist from 1996. Since 2010 she has been a teacher and coach with the Mariinsky Ballet, rehearsing roles with Yekaterina Kondaurova, Anastasia Matvienko, Anastasia Kolegova and Tatiana Tkachenko.
Miko Fogarty was born in London in 1997, Miko moved to the US when she was 2 years old. At the age of 12, she was one of 6 dancers featured in award winning ballet documentary “First Position”. Miko has received worldwide recognition for her dancing. She was awarded the Gold Medal at the Moscow International Ballet Competition in 2013. At Varna International Ballet Competition in Bulgaria, she won Silver in 2014 and Bronze in 2012. At the Prix de Lausanne in Switzerland, she was recognized as the best Swiss dancer in 2013. In the US, she won Bronze at the New York finals of the Youth America Grand Prix in 2010 and Gold Medals at the World Ballet Competition in 2009 and 2011. Miko will be joining Birmingham Royal Ballet as an artist in August.
