The Lake of a Hundred Swans

I had extraordinary opportunity to shoot The Lake of a Hundred Swans in Estonia, Tallinn. Who doesn’t know, Estonia is closest EU country to Russian ballet — Vaganova Academy and Mariinsky Theatre. Estonian National Opera (and Tallinn Ballet School)  is greatly influenced by Russian ballet school, as Estonia was part of Russian Imperium and later Soviet Union.

The Lake of a Hundred Swans was one-off production in co-operation with Latvian National Opera, directed by Aivars Leimanis (Latvian National Opera) and choerographed by Marius Petipa, Tiit Härm and Aivars Leimanis. Galina Rohumaa as Odette/Odile and Maksim Chukaryov as Prince Siegfried, Bruno Micchiardi as Joker (as a true Joker!) all with Estonian National Ballet.
