Travis Clausen-Knight was born in Cape Town, South Africa, he moved to England and graduated from the Arts Education School of Tring in 2009. Whilst in training he won several awards for dance and choreography within the school and outside including The National Youth Ballet and the International Competition of Dance, Spoleto. Travis joined Tavaziva Dance in September 2011.

James Pett graduated in 2011 with a BA (Hons) Contemporary Dance. He was also awarded the Marion North Award for outstanding achievement in performance. Immediately after graduating, he joined the Richard Alston Dance Company, first as an apprentice and then as a company member. During this time, he performed at Dance Umbrella and worked with Robert Cohan on a revival of In Memory and The Bride and on the Bachelors exhibitions at the Barbican Centre. He also worked with Jeannie Steele on a collective of Cunningham’s works. James joined Company Wayne McGregor in 2013.

Pett and Clausen-Knight is the creative dynamo for multi award winning dancers and choreographers James Pett and Travis Clausen-Knight, and a home for their continuing investigation into the human experience.
